To make ends meet, we sold about $1,000 worth of truck parts and other household items we didn't need (we love Craig's list!), and sold our old Camry wagon for $1,000 to the Bay Area Air Quality District buy-back program (it had become an oil dripper). We received some incredible financial support from friends, and a gift of a full set of used lead acid batteries from David Malloy from the NBEAA group.
